About MusicFreelancer.net
MusicFreelancer.net is a free toolkit for musicians and filmmakers who work for themselves. It helps them price a job, reach it, describe it and credit it fairly.
Mission
MusicFreelancer.net puts the everyday needs of independent musicians and filmmakers in one place: working out what a job is really worth, reaching it, describing it and crediting it fairly. It is a free toolkit of four tools that run in your browser: a gig map that shows net pay after travel, a rate calculator for sessions, shows, mixes and scores, a split sheet builder for song credits, and an AI Desk that drafts job briefs, pitches and rate replies. Early access is free, and the roadmap is on the home page.
What the toolkit does
- Gig Map: net pay after mileage, parking and gear hauling across Los Angeles zones.
- Rate Calculator: quotes for sessions, shows, mixes and scores.
- Split Sheets: composition and master shares that must total 100 percent.
- AI Desk: job briefs, pitches and rate replies drafted from your notes.
There are no accounts, no uploads and no tracking. What you enter stays in your browser.
Who it is for
Freelance musicians, session players, producers, composers and independent filmmakers in Los Angeles and beyond who find gigs, quote jobs, travel to shows and share song credits.
